Great location!

Am besten gefallenThe Jewel is located in a perfect spot for many attractions including Radio City, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Broadway theaters and several nice restaurants. The hotel itself has typically small rooms like a NYC hotel, but we have certainly stayed in smaller. We also had a room that was not on the street side so it was actually very quiet. The staff was friendly enough, with just one minor exception. Depending on where our future plans take us in NYC we would definitely stay at The Jewel again.

The Gem That Is The Jewel Hotel

Am besten gefallenI almost don’t want to share about this gem, The Jewel Hotel! After staying all over the city (and even just over in NJ), this is our go-to for short stays and longer ones. Location is perfect. You do have to walk a little for a subway station but we don’t always take the subway. Walking from this spot can get you almost anywhere as it’s so central. The rooms are varied and this time I had a mini-fridge which was great. Rooms have always been clean with beds and pillows that are super comfortable. I stayed on a higher floor where traffic was somewhat muted but I could still hear the bells of St. Patrick’s Cathedral. I will say some surfaces (like the wood base of an ottoman) show some wear but I did not think that it was getting tired. The price is very reasonable. I’ve stayed in worse places for much more money! The staff is 100 percent what makes this hotel such a pleasant place to stay. If you are used to chain hotels or fancy boutique ones, please look at the photos so you manage your expectations. Oh and the refillable water stations are great to have when you need.

Wonderful boutique hotel in the BEST location.

Am besten gefallenGreat location and wonderful boutique hotel. I love the living room on floor 2 and the filtered water on each floor. The workout room is not great, but while in NYC, do you really need a full gym?

Am besten gefallenIts a nice boutique hotel..comfy beds centrally located. Coffee machine a washer a dryer if needed..they do have a gym but its personal too small and hot. But I'm not there for a gym..easy to get a round everything in walking distance.. This is not a big chain hotel don't expect a grand lobby its personal and perfect.. Staff is excellent rooms are clean.. My only thing gets us some mini frigs rather have that then the coffee pot cause the one on the 2nd floor is much better.... But overall a nice spot and the pizza spot next store is awesome
