10.0Beautiful old hotel; helpful concierges
Liked mostBeautiful old hotel, but needs some renovation, especially the availability of outlets by the bed. They assumed we wanted an "accessible" room, so put us next to the elevator, which is very loud (mechanism and people loading/unloading). The hotel was full, so we couldn't move rooms until the second day. They were nice about it, but it was annoying. On the positive, the concierges, especially Giacomo Matozza and also Pieter Feith, were very helpful in planning itineraries and purchasing tickets during our stay (including small group canal tour through the hotel, Rijksmuseum, Heineken Experience and De Kas Restaurant for lunch). Would stay again.
