Liked mostL'accueil et la gentillesse du personnel qui garde le sourire en toutes circonstances, même face à des clients difficiles. Le concept ZOKU toujours aussi efficace, avec une chambre dotée d'une cuisine très fonctionnelle. La délicate attention du petit mot de bienvenue à l'arrivée.

Poop stains.

Could improveWent from fresh new 10/10 to a stale dying mode in 3 years. RIP. They were already charging big buck, but it is a dirty hostel at best, zero value for money, it smells like an old cloth. 1) While entering the room we were met by a beautiful handwritten note waiting us on the dining table, But OH NO it was next to a Giant poop stain on a couch next to it. Yeah, cleaning probably didnt see it right? No, it because most likely every room is like that. We got a room with a dirty worn out couch. Asked to change the room, first option is to wait until tomorrow with a pooped on couch, that was very generous of you, thank you. Or get another room, anyway we enter "new" room, but who would've guessed the couch there was looking the same, just a bit less poop stains but also some white one, possibly semen? Looking under the mattress was a big mistake, stains everywhere. We specifically chose Loft XL to make use of a living area with a couch, but we couldn’t actually use it, bc it was too disgusting. 2) Cleaning wasn’t done well. Remote places such as shelves next to the bed were very dusty. The floor wasn’t mopped (white socks got dark very quickly after walking through the loft) 3) Appliances worn out: kitchen hood not working, extremely dull knives, one pot was dirty, dishwasher stinks and shows lack of salt and rinse aid. 4) The shared pantry mentions ice machine on the door, but it wasn’t there Overall the place is clearly in a economy mode, doing bare minimum maintenance

Highly Recommend! A very memorable stay!

Liked mostI thoroughly enjoyed my 5 nights stay at Zoku. The staff were extremely friendly, kind and always available to help. I immediately knew I would enjoy Zoku upon meeting the wonderful staff during check-in. This was my first time travelling solo so safety was a big priority for me and I always felt safe here. I was a bit worried about the public rooftop restaurant being available to anyone from the public, but they have many protective measures to make sure room residents are protected such as having to scan your key card at many different points to even get onto a hotel room floor. The location is also in a beautiful and safe neighborhood surrounded by many residential apartments buildings and homes, which makes it feel safer than living right in the city centre where it is too loud and busy. Yet, it is still a close walk to all the main attractions. You can also easily access the tram station with just a few mins walk which can take you anywhere, in case you don't ever want to walk. Skinny Bridge is located right down the street from Zoku which is such a beautiful evening or sunrise spot to enjoy in the quiet. There is a small grocery store right across the street and a large one (Albert Heijn) a few mins walk away. The beds are very comfortable and cozy. Free cleaning is offered upon request at any time which was great - they cleaned my room kindly as soon as I requested it. The breakfast options are delicious and the rooftop space is amazing! I didn't get to spend much time up there as I was busy with my travel itinierary and wish I had time to get up there more. The Loft was a great size with TONS of storage cabinets. The kitchen was well functioning with lots of utensils available - if you ever needed more items there is also a pantry on the first floor where you can grab more utensils and household items for free. There are a dozen great things to say about Zoku but the wonderful and attentive staff are definitely the biggest plus for me!

Could improveMaybe not relevant to everyone but use of the laundry room is not free unless your stay js at least 5 nights in which you get one free use of the washer and dryer. Otherwise it is 5 euros for the washer and 4 euros for the dryer. Just something to note if you intend to do your laundry while here. Also maybe not a big problem for others but the liquid toiletries (liquid hand soap, body wash, shampoo/conditioner, hand wash) were not replaced or refilled after the last use. They weren't empty by any means either, but it would have felt more "luxe" if they were filled up before the next check-ins.
