The hotel met all our expectations, and having its own speedboat made it easy to enjoy a boat trip.

Liked mostEverything was perfect, and we were completely satisfied with our stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and would be happy to come back. Highly recommended!

Could improveThe only downside was the access road to the property. It is very narrow, and when cars come from the opposite direction, passing each other can be quite difficult and stressful.

Serene solitude and sunny smiles!

Liked mostThe property is stunning; it’s a beautifully and lovingly restored historic stone house evoking romantic Mediterranean elegance amidst the beautiful backdrop of Venetian influenced Prčanj - a place along the bay where you avoid throngs of tourists and get a more authentic vibe with locals! The hotel rooms are immaculate and ooze warmth and charm, very grand yet so cozy. The ornately decorated stone-walled windows frame the best view of the bay of Kotor, especially at night as old town twinkles from afar. The private pier (equipped w/ loungers, umbrellas, tables, etc) echos this mesmerizing view and is a top highlight; it’s the perfect spot to sunbathe, take a dip, peacefully destress with a well-crafted drink from the bar, or even catch a private boat tour from a top guide! The complimentary breakfast also deserves a mention as it was always full of a variety of unique, tasty nibbles! However, the BEST part this hotel experience, is the hospitality of the highly attentive and friendly staff that will help you make the most of your stay in the bay; Natasha, Maja, and Marko were absolute gems!

Could improveI can’t fault it really! I perhaps would suggest anyone sensitive to noise might not want to book a ground floor room due to the proximity of the main road (this will be true for any waterfront property in the bay though). It did not bother me but I imagine for some it will.

The best place for a quiet and relaxing stay in Montenegro.

Liked mostThe best place for a quiet and relaxing vacation in Montenegro. The staff is amazing, incredibly helpful and polite. The breakfast is very rich and has anything you can think of. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The location is great as well. When you get to the hotel ask for a private boat tour at the reception. The skipper knows every hidden gem around the bay and is very well educated about the history of the place.

A place to avoid

Liked mostActually I liked the staff, all of them try to help and are very nice. The view of the see over the road.

Could improveThe hotel is actually a few buildings aroubd a pool. There are a lot of steps and stairs to go up and down , in any room you are. There is no elevator, so it is quite a problem at a certain age. The hotel is on the main road which is very noisy starting 6 in tbe morning till the middle of the night. It was impossible to sleep , was noisy and all the air was full of gasoline smell. Room is not at level of 4 stars, maybe 2 stars. Breakfast - almost nothing normal, only a very few cold cuts of a very low quality.and eggs cooked in advance. It is clear they try to save a few more cents even from food, that is a shame. Beds are hard as rock, very cheap matresses, that wsy they plan to use them for another 50 years! Feeled like sleeping on the floor.

Liked mostThe property is a beautiful old stone building which had been refurbished with every modern amenity. The staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. You walk directly across a narrow street to jump into & swim in the beautiful clean water and then out again to sip cocktails or whatever you choose and relax. We have to mention the service Marco provided. Nothing was too difficult and he also gave us information about travelling around Montenegro and what it was like to live as a local in the magnificent Kotor area. We could not recommend Hotel Libertas more and if I ever find myself in this part of the world again, I’ll be booking this accommodation.
