Frequently asked questions

How Edenfinder works

We compare dozens of booking sites in real time for the hotels people most want to stay in, and take you to the lowest price. Here, plainly, is everything people ask us before they trust us.

Who is behind Edenfinder?
Edenfinder started almost by chance, as a personal project. Over the years I have travelled a lot and slept in hundreds of hotels, and before every trip my friends and I would compare prices across sites by hand to spend less. At some point I got tired of doing it by hand and built a tool that checked all the sites at once and found the lowest price. At first it was only for me and my friends, to travel spending a little less. It worked so well that I decided to open it to everyone.
Does using Edenfinder cost anything?
No, never. Searching and comparing are completely free and require no account. The price you see is exactly what you will pay: we add no markup.
If it is free, how do you make money?
When you book through us, the property or booking platform pays us a small commission. It is paid by whoever sells the room, not by you. We only earn if you book, so our interest is simple: to find you the lowest possible price.
What are Edenpoints?
Edenfinder’s loyalty programme. Book signed in and 1% of every stay comes back as Edenpoints (1,000 points = 1 dollar), credited within 7 days of check-out and spendable like money on your next booking. And for every point you earn, Edenfinder donates the same value to registered non-profit organisations working in education for children and global humanitarian aid: your points are worth double. Full details, the donation fund and receipts live on the Edenpoints page.
Who exactly do I book with?
It depends on where you complete the booking. If you book on Edenfinder, the accommodation contract is always between you and the property: the payment is handled by Nuitee Travel Limited (our technology partner acting as merchant of record) and the booking is transmitted to the hotel in real time. If you prefer a partner like Booking.com or Expedia, we take you there and you conclude on its site, under its terms. Either way, we always make it clear where you are booking.
Is it safe to enter my details?
Yes. If you book on Edenfinder, payment happens in Nuitee’s secure, encrypted environment: your card details never pass through our servers and we never see them. If you book on a partner site, you enter them directly there, over an encrypted connection with that platform’s protection. Either way, before confirming always check that the address bar shows the site you expect, with the padlock of a secure connection.
Is the price I see really the final one?
Our aim is to show you the real all in total for the stay, not a bait price that swells at checkout. Watch two charges some sites add only at the end: the local city tax and the resort fee. When we compare platforms, we show you where the total is genuinely lower.
What are the "Edenfinder Deals"?
They are properties, among the best by guest rating, where our rate beats the market. When a hotel carries this tag, our offer is the cheapest in the comparison: we do not show you lower options because there are none.
Can I cancel a booking?
It depends on the rate you choose. Next to every price you see whether it is refundable or non refundable: the refundable one costs a little more but lets you cancel, usually up to a few days before arrival. If you booked on Edenfinder, you cancel or change the dates yourself from your account or the link in the confirmation email; if you booked on a partner site, cancellation is handled by that partner, under the terms you read before confirming.
Is my personal data safe?
Edenfinder requires no account and collects no personal profile data. We only process the searches you run, to query the rate engines, and we do not resell your data to advertisers. Full details are in our Privacy policy.
What if the price changes between search and booking?
Hotel and flight rates are live and can move slightly between one check and the next: that is the nature of real time. That is why, if you book ahead, we almost always suggest a refundable rate: you lock in today’s price and stay free to rebook if you find it lower.
Which languages and currencies does it support?
Edenfinder is available in Italian, English, Spanish and German, with prices shown in euros, dollars, pounds or Swiss francs as you prefer. Language and currency can be changed at the top of any page.
Can I book directly on Edenfinder?
Yes. For hotels with an Edenfinder rate you complete everything here: pick the room, pay in a secure environment handled by Nuitee (your card details never touch our servers) and instantly receive the confirmation with the hotel code and a PDF voucher by email. The booking lives in your account, where you can cancel it or change the dates yourself — no phone calls.
Does my booking really reach the hotel?
Yes — in real time. As soon as your payment succeeds, the booking is transmitted to the hotel through the Nuitee network, the same channel used by the industry's major operators. Your confirmation and voucher include the confirmation code issued by the property itself: proof the hotel has registered your booking in its systems. If in doubt, you can always call the hotel quoting that code, or write to info@edenfinder.com.
Who charges the payment and who issues the invoice?
Payments for bookings completed on Edenfinder are processed by Nuitee Travel Limited, which also issues the invoice: 1st Floor, 4 Waterloo Road, Dublin 4, D04 A0X3, Ireland · hello@nuitee.com · company reg. 570685 · Tax ID IE3388031IH. On your statement you will therefore see Nuitee, the technology partner that handles payments and suppliers on our behalf.
