A bit of let down

Liked mostBreakfast was delicious, with lots of fresh fruit and pastries. Even our somewhat fussy eaters (aged 8 and 6) did very well! The welcome gift was lovely although we weren’t drinking alcohol. The hotel is within good walking distance of the wharf/parade of shops and restaurants, and the beach.

Could improveThe shower was dangerously swinging from cool to scalding hot (when the dial is in the middle and without adjusting it, it would change temperature). My nephews were shrieking in discomfort and upset when we had to shower them carefully. It was impossible to anticipate when it would become scalding. On mentioning this, we were told an engineer would fix it or that we could use another room’s shower. The engineer did not fix it (in the same breath we were told “there is a piece missing” and that “it has been fixed” - it categorically was not fixed) and then they told us they couldn’t provide another room to shower in after all. Or offer a partial refund. They offered is a free drink at the bar or discount on a return trip… which wasn’t really good enough, to be honest.

Buona posizione e silenzioso.

Could improveHo prenotato una camera standard con letto matrimoniale e ci è stata assegnata una camera con un letto ad una piazza e mezza, preparata infatti per un solo ospite. Quando ho fatto notare la cosa al portiere presente nel pomeriggio, chiedendo di integrare anche la biancheria mancante per il secondo ospite, ha ammesso che era un letto ad una piazza e mezza prevista per un solo ospite e che in ogni caso non c'erano alternative perchè l'hotel era pieno. Il tutto senza alcuna gentilezza ma scocciato per la domanda che avevo fatto in merito ad un possibile cambio camera con un letto matrimoniale. L'hotel inoltre è datato e di 4 stelle non c'è nulla. Diciamo che è un 3 stelle. Resta in ogni caso una buona soluzione per una breve vacanza se non si hanno particolari esigenze.
