10.0A unique gem in the heart of Copenhagen
Liked mostWhat a gem! A major part of what made our Copenhagen holiday so wonderfully memorable was our 7 night stay at the Aperon apartment hotel. Situated an easy 3 minute walk from the beating heart of the city, our apartment was on the first floor of a charming old house that had everything we could want except an elevator. Close to all the attractions yet not so close that you could hear the bustle of the city. The bed was super comfortable, the kitchenette was fully applianced, we had plenty of hot water in the shower and all the room we needed for our toiletries, and in general the apartment was very well equipped and very clean. But above all we have to mention the staff. Although there is no reception desk and all communication is via WhatsApp, they always responded in minutes, always accommodating and always ready to help with anything that should come up including advice on getting around, where to eat or shop and even sending a staff member to our apartment at 23:00 to bring us a pen because we hadn't brought one with us. The coffee machine was promptly replaced when it turned out that the one we had wasn't working, extra towels and pillows were provided in request, a taxi was booked for us, all with a smile, so to speak. We were glad to be allowed to leave our luggage in the spacious luggage and laundry room even before check in. The luggage room is equiped with generous lockers and there is free detergent for use in the washing machines. We were given a code to open the main door to the building so we always felt completely safe. Our room felt isolated from noise. In short, a wonderful hotel with absolutely incredible and gracious staff that was always there for us 24/7. We couldn't recommend it more highly.
Could improveThe stairs were something of a challenge as it is an old building and therefore the stairs are quite steep. Luckily for us they took into account our request and placed us on the first floor. Bear in mind that the building has 4 floors so that climbing up, especially with suitcases, can be daunting. Also there really isn't anywhere to hang up towels to dry except on the shower curtain rail. But it worked for us.
