Liked mostA hidden gem such a beautiful house . It was so beautiful. From arrival to departure was fantastic. The lady Jacquie could not do enough for you. I did not feel like a cooked breakfast as I had to leave early she offered to make me lunch . I can't wait to have an excuse to go back and enjoy her cooked breakfast as the fruit was beautifully presented.

A perfect stay, warm hosts, spotless room, and a fantastic breakfast

Liked mostExceptional stay — truly 5★ in every way I had an outstanding experience at Blackrock B&B. From the moment we arrived, Jacquie and Jerry made us feel genuinely welcome; they’re the kind of hosts who go far beyond what you’d ever expect, and it shows in every detail. The room was spotless, beautifully kept, and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. Breakfast was superb each morning, fresh, generous, and clearly made with care. What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere the hosts create. Jacquie and Jerry are warm, attentive, and genuinely lovely people who clearly take pride in what they do. Their local knowledge, kindness, and the way they look after guests make this B&B something special. I would recommend Blackrock B&B without hesitation. A perfect stay from start to finish.

Unfortunately disappointed with the experience

Could improveThe host did not show us around , brought straight to our room. Mattress was really soft and uncomfortable. it was very noisy through the night with raised male voices? a door slamming or banging noises so we got very little sleep. Our room was small but that wouldn’t really have mattered if the bed was comfortable. At breakfast we didn’t know where to go so we stood awkwardly in the hall for a while . When we found the breakfast room , the other guests were already eating and the cold food, and fruit was already on the table and had been picked through by the earlier guests . The juice had been mostly already poured by the guests and no refills was offered . I had advised at time of booking that there was one vegan and I was reassured that the owner was equipped for this, there was no dairy free milk for breakfast nor dairy free spread for toast. I reminded again that I was vegan and she proceeded to put butter on my cooked mushrooms , I have an intolerance to dairy so it is just as well i realised and asked her before eating them. The fruit platter was beside the other guests one of which was coughing over it so we were unable to access fruit until they left. I ended up having dry toast with a small portion of beans And black coffee. The host told me her son was vegan which you would think she would have understood the very basics. I left feeling quite exhausted from lack of sleep and hungry from the poor breakfast. I don’t feel we were made to feel very welcome.
