Better Options Coming…

Liked mostSecond visit to this classic Berlin hotel. Furst timers should note that this is a massive hotel. In a sweltering week in June I was shown to a small, dark room at the farthest back section of the hotel, a city block away from the Brandenburg Gate front entrance. I asked for a change immediately. Just be aware that there is a wide variety of rooms in each category. Otherwise, there is always a big queue at the front desk which is always understaffed. I expect that when the Four Seasons opens next year discerning travelers will have a more attractive option.

Liked mostExceptional hotel with a great location at the Brandenburg Gate. Christian checked us in to our two connecting rooms, offered us glasses of sparkling wine and escorted us to the rooms to point out the specifics like turn down service at night, two bottles of sparkling/still water each day, how to use the pad on sides of bed for the lights etc. Rooms were spacious and had separate toilet from the shower. Service at breakfast was attentive and food was delicious, including German specialties and a fresh egg/omelet bar. You could also order poached eggs and gluten free waffles/croissants/bread from the menu. We met friends for happy hour in the lobby bar which is decorated with a beautiful fountain in the center. Also, ate lunch outside at the restaurant and that was great to just sit, and people watch with all the excitement in the square. We would definitely stay again!

I liked my room, front of house including concierge were highly professional.

Liked mostThe room wasn't made up and I had to ask in the evening for them to tidy up. The shower and bathroom were left in a somewhat untidy state.
