Stunning building. Great views.

Liked mostStunning building and decor. Stairs and hallways were amazing. Did not have the main rooms, but room in the (roof) top floor which were fine. Breakfast was good, sitting out on the terrace with the pigeons. Location good, right next to ferry port. To cross the grand canal you can use boat services or you can 'go around the houses'. Nice walk though.

Could improveNo door signs to say "do not disturb". Electronic indicator system when keycard is in slot. Cannot use a different card. If you forget to put card in, cleaners assume room is empty when its not. Not their fault. Coffee machine was not my favourite, would have preferred kettle.

We would definitely go back and ask for a larger room.

Liked mostExceptional architectural and interior details. Water taxis come right to the front door. Location is central but not crowded and travel wether walking or on vapporetos around Venice was easy. Only 10 rooms!

Could improveThe interiors although beautiful were dark with little sitting space. Larger rooms might afford that - don't know.

Worn and Torn

Could improveIt’s a 3 star hotel with 5 star expenses. They advertise “breakfast included” but it’s only for a continental breakfast. To have the normal breakfast you have to pay an additional E15 per day. The rugs are worn and torn . The shower is so small you can’t turn around. There was no window in our room. The hotel needs a complete makeover.

Liked mostDie Lage vom Hotel ist sehr gut, direkt am Canale Grande, sehr gute Restaurants in der Nähe. Frühstück auf der Terrasse. Vaporetto Haltestelle nebenan.

From every perspective, a fabulous stay.

Liked mostStaff was great, although at times it felt they may have been a bit understaffed. Loved the historic feeling of the building, it's terrace over looking the Grand Canal.

Could improveOnly one thing - We needed an iron and ironing board and they said they didn't have one.

Could improveThe pictures online where much much nicer and cleaner than the hotel itself. We were very disappointed in the upkeep of the hotel the rooms were dingy and in need of renovation.
