Liked mostAn amazing place. The staff were so attentive and proud of their wonderful hotel. They advised us where to go, booked restaurants for us. The decor is outstanding- never seen such beautiful rooms so carefully restored. They thought of everything from sun hats to use when you sit out in the terraced garden to blankets for your own patio area. From the nightly truffles to the fresh cooked breakfast, it was all such high quality. Despite the beautiful artefacts and original features the place was immaculate and spotlessly clean. Location was brilliant- centre of everything and if you book a back facing room- totally peaceful and quiet. Would highly recommend staying here.

Perfect experience

Liked mostJust spent 3 days at this outstanding hotel in Porto and It feels just fair to share our excellent experience. Location is the best possible in Porto, minutes walk to the Douro river edge, with all the activities on its promenade, and amidst all the amazing restaurants and cafes. The hotel itself, in its historical building, is absolutely beautiful, unique, originally designed, with each room different with its special charm. The staff was as friendly and welcoming as possible, and did their utmost to see that we are happiest at any time. Marko, Philipa and Susana - thank you dearly! PS breakfasts were delicious:-)
