Perfect.

Liked mostLocated a 20 minute walk to the waterfront. Staff are delightful and so helpful. The warming blanket made it perfectly cozy.

Liked mostEveryone was lovely and helpful, and when I came back to stay for one more night before flying home, everyone was genuinely excited to see me again. Everything was clean, breakfast was great, and all the staff were super helpful. I'll definitely stay at The Big the next time I find myself in Cape Town.

Could improveThe honor bar beer selection could use some more variety. And the room upstairs above the wood fire heater gets a little smoky smell early in the morning when staff start to set up the kitchen for breakfast in winter. Woke me up much earlier than I had hoped to be up on a couple occasions, but this is limited to just one particular room due to the layout of the building. I stayed in a second room later and had no such issues.

That is nice place, I recommend it.

Liked mostVery good location, great breakfast, fully equipped kitchen, the room was clean and cozy, the staff was very kind and responsive. The cost of living is competitive. I really liked the gift from the hotel — a bottle of white wine. It was very tasty.

Could improveThe room was very cold (in July - winter season here). There was an electric blanket, so sleeping was fine, but getting out of bed was really hard at the night time.
