Excellent service, food, drinks and atmosphere

Liked mostSome friends and I visited the Caledonian for afternoon drinks. The servers and staff, including Leah, Tegan, Tahlia, Heather and Lucy were all fantastic. The drinks and nibbles were delicious and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

Liked mostEverything was excellent! Very warm welcome and excellent service. The team - Lukasz, Paola, Jack and Louise took excellent care of us. Food was excellent, atmosphere was great, highly recommended!

Could improveأشعر بخيبة أمل كبيرة من تجربتي في هذا الفندق. الغرفة التي تم تسليمي إياها لم تكن مطابقة للغرفة المعروضة في الصور عند الحجز. وعندما اعترضت، أخبرني الموظفون أنهم وفروا لي غرفة بإطلالة على القلعة، ولكن في الواقع كانت الإطلالة من خلال نافذة صغيرة وضيقة في أعلى الغرفة، ولم تكن كما هو متوقع. أقدّر محاولة الموظفين مساعدتي، حيث عرضوا عليّ غرفة أخرى ذات نافذة أكبر، لكنها كانت أصغر مساحة وأكثر ضيقًا، ولم تكن مريحة أيضًا. وكان تبريرهم أن الفندق كان ممتلئًا ولا توجد غرف أخرى متاحة. في النهاية، قدموا لي تعويضًا بقيمة 100 عملة إدنبرة، لكن هذا التعويض لا يعوض عن الإحباط وعدم الراحة التي شعرت بها بسبب الغرفة الضيقة، خاصةً مقابل المبلغ الذي دفعته للإقامة. كنت أتوقع أن أحصل على غرفة مطابقة لما تم الإعلان عنه، وأن أستمتع بإقامة مريحة، إلا أن الواقع كان مختلفًا تمامًا كما تفاجأت أثناء الإفطار بأن طلب البيض المطهو حسب الطلب كان مقابل رسوم إضافية، وهو أمر لم أكن أتوقعه، خاصةً أن هذه الخدمة تكون مجانية ضمن الإفطار في العديد من الفنادق الأخرى. كان من الأفضل توضيح ذلك مسبقًا حتى لا يتفاجأ الضيوف بهذه الرسوم الإضافية

Must Stay in Edinburgh - WOW

Liked mostThe Caledonian felt like 6 stars not just 5. Our room was large with very high ceilings , a very comfortable king bed with plenty of room for an extra bed and the same goes for the tremendous and well appointed bathroom. The breakfast was a perfect way to start every day. The food was cooked so well and authentic - the haggis is must must must eat here. The service everywhere was great and I would definitely recommend a nice scotch at the bar. The concierge was terrific with great restaurant ideas for dinner and arranging a car and driver for us for a day in the countryside. Our driver Michael was amazing and so knowledgeable. Finally the location is literally at the center of the universe in Edinburgh we can’t wait to come back and stay again. Thanks you!!!
