A fabulous hotel in the wonderful city of Athens

Liked mostWhat a wonderful stay I had at The Modernist Hotel, it’s super stylish, really well located and easy to get to all the major sights, an amazing and very friendly young staff, from reception, the cafe and the bar, the cleaning staff, and crowning it all a fantastic roof top bar where you can drink looking at wonderful views of Athens. I’m definitely coming back there again next year.

Liked mostFriendly staff. Great location walkable to nice bars and restaurants. Good breakfast. Nice rooftop. Unfortunately, the bathroom is not practical. Water goes everywhere when you are having a shower because there is no tray, door or curtain. Window in the room was not accessible because it was above the bed frame.

Liked mostLovely, well kept modern hotel in a lovely residential neighborhood. Some sights are walking distance and a Metro stop is right nearby. The thermostat control is obtuse—didn’t seem to work the same way two days in a row. Front desk can set it remotely. Breakfasts are substantial.

Liked mostTerrific, inventive, fun place, great roof terrace with DJ, very nice room, absolutely delightful staff and a great breakfast. Had been staying at an upmarket boutique hotel. Our flight home was cancelled after three hours on the tarmac and we scrambled to find a hotel for the night. Thrilled that we stumbled on the Modernist. Would definitely stay again. A great experience and a great value.
